We are born into a world already made, its’ boundaries already in place. Some rare individuals bring freshness, but for most it’s walk the walk and talk the talk; success measured against the system.
People tend to rise and fall by these earthly systems that, by and large, govern our lives, including formal education and work.
I was having a conversation with a teacher, longing but failing to impact his work environment with the presence of God. Suddenly he stopped me in mid-sentence and elatedly declared, ‘I left Jesus at the school gate!’ It was a eureka moment.
If we are passionate about bringing God’s kingdom into our everyday working lives it is our spiritual ID in-Christ that provides our start point, not our system’s ID.
