Supernatural Work Life

Rich in Every Way

One day I was thinking of all the bad news on TV.

“It’s just one view they’re presenting” I told myself.

And I ached for God’s perspective on events, asking Him to “grow my sense of being seated in heavenly places.” (Ephesians 2:6)

Then I realised that He’s already doing that and thanked Him for it. And I told myself, “don’t ask for something when He’s already at work doing it.”

You see, thanking Him from a place of ‘knowing’ is superior to asking from a place of ‘need’. For if we keep asking for what we already have, we are choosing poverty.

It’s like asking for food when the table in front of us is laden with every morsel we could ever wish for.

Thanking God for being rich is the road to receiving the ‘abundant life’ that Christ has won for us all. Asking in poverty merely gives our enemy a foothold to ‘kill, steal and destroy’. (John 10:10, Ephesians 4:27)

Let’s not do that!

Instead, join me today in thanking God that we are rich in every way in Christ. (Philippians 4:19)

And let’s keep thanking Him everyday!

Redford on success

“Success has a dangerous side to it, something that I have been aware of my whole life,” said the Oscar-winning star.

“You don’t embrace it, so much as shadow-box with it.

In reaching for the money, you can lose yourself.

So I always pay attention to who we are, who we were and who we try to stay being.

And at the same time, to welcome success but use it wisely, rather than poorly.”
